The practice of Yoga and Pilates involves physical activity, breathing exercises and meditation. I believe that yoga is more than physical exercise, it is a transformative practice that integrates body, mind and emotional tensions to arrive at deeper levels of relaxation and awareness. As with all physical activity, there is always a risk of injury. The decision to perform any exercise is down to the individual. During the class the teacher will provide verbal cues inviting you to move and breathe in a particular way, these cues are guidelines only. The teacher cannot accept responsibility for problems during or outside a class. The participant agrees to take on full responsibility for their actions within the class and shall work within their own limits. It is the participants responsibility to consult their GP before the beginning of a yoga practice and seek medical consent where necessary. It will also be the participants responsibility to notify the teacher of any injury or alignment (recent or ongoing) prior to every class. Yoga may at times be challenging, but never painful. If at any point you believe something is unsafe for you, or you are unable to participate due to physical injury or a medical condition, you should stop what you are doing and notify the teacher immediately. This yoga class is not advised for Osteoporosis of the spine and requires you to be able to get up on and off the floor unassisted.

PREGNANCY YOGA
I understand that I am participating in Yoga & Pilates classes or any other exercise programs offered by Laura at Bloom Wellbeing during which I will receive information and instruction about yoga, physical exercise and health. I recognize that exercise requires physical exertion, which may be strenuous and may cause physical injury, and I am fully aware of the risks and hazards involved.

The Pregnancy Yoga classes are only designed for those in the second and third trimester and only once the 12/14 week scan has been completed and the participant has been given to all clear to partake in physical activity such as yoga. I understand that it is my responsibility to consult a physician / doctor / midwife prior to and regarding my participation in the yoga classes and exercises offered by Laura at Bloom Wellbeing.

I represent and warrant that I am physically fit and I have no medical condition, which would prevent my full participation in these yoga classes, health programs or workshops.

As I am pregnant I understand that I participate fully at my own risk and that of my unborn child/children.

For Postnatal – mum and baby yoga & pilates

it is recommended for those over 6 weeks postnatal and I have obtained permission from my GP or midwife that I am safe to partake in the postnatal class if I should need it.

I acknowledge that I am responsible for my health and safety as well as my babies health and safety while taking classes with Laura at Bloom Wellbeing. I will take responsibility for not exceeding my limits and will report any injury or discomfort to the teacher. I agree to relay any information given to me from my health professionals relating to my health and provide medical clearance where needed or requested. I hereby waive any claim that I (or my baby) might have in relation to any injury resulting from my participation in the classes.

In consideration of being permitted to participate in the yoga/pilates classes, I agree to assume full responsibility for any risks, injuries or damages, known or unknown, which I might incur as a result of participating in the classes run by Laura at Bloom Wellbeing.

In further consideration of being permitted to participate in the yoga classes, I knowingly, voluntarily and expressly waive any claim I may have against Laura Kingdon and Bloom Wellbeing or the instructor for injury or damages that I may sustain as a result of participating in these classes.

You agree to listen to your body and monitor yourself during every class session. You are aware of (and assume) the risks and hazards of participating in yoga and pilates classes and agree to assume full responsibility for any injuries and/or damage to property or persons which you may incur during or as a result of your voluntary participation.
